Give Rise to Your Best Summer Ever

Learn MoreDonate

We all love Oakland. But sometimes it takes getting outside of what we’re used to doing to appreciate what we have at home. Let us transport you to a magical place called Camp Phoenix where, over the summer, campers get the freedom to explore nature, make long-lasting friendships, find healing and grow into the leaders you were always meant to become. With activities that include outdoor adventures, skits and engaging math and reading challenges, you’ll find that Camp Phoenix is not just a summer camp…it’s a community. Join us in the great outdoors and see how we help folks just like you give rise to the best summer you’ve ever had.

Summer Camp

What happens when you blend the down-to-earth vibe of The Town with the natural wonders of the great outdoors? The Most Lit. Summer. Ever. Our three-week, overnight camp will give you plenty of opportunities to explore hiking trails, milk some goats, pick berries from a local farm, sleep under the stars, read your favorite book in a tree and discover strengths you never knew you had.

Year-Round Adventures

Just because the summer is over, it doesn’t mean the fun has to end. Once the school year starts, we have plenty of outdoor, teen-friendly activities in store for you throughout the year. Ever been to a space and science museum? Always wanted to go on a camping trip but didn’t have a way to make it happen? We’re here to be your travel guide. What’s more, we cover the cost. All you have to do is bring your curiosity and a backpack.

Camp Phoenix is my safe place.

“Camp Phoenix is my safe place, the place I feel most at peace. It’s taught me what happiness is. And, even though there are a lot of tears, most of the time there are smiles and laughs. I can’t wait to come back to camp next year because it feels like home.”

The coolest thing about camp is that it gives you the ability to communicate with others and make new friends—and we all have things in common. We learn that we don’t have to be in different groups just because of who we are. It’s all about being one.

At Camp Phoenix, I learned that I was more than just a girl. I can do so much more than I didn’t know I could do. Now, I’m more comfortable with using my voice and speaking up for what’s right.

Because of camp, I’ve learned that there is more to nature than just being outside. When you’re in the great outdoors, you can find peace and it’s fun. That’s what all kids from Oakland should have.
